Rachel Opper Lead Administrator

I'm a Yankee-born Pennsylvania girl adapting to being a Texan!

Growing up, my Dad and I attended St. Peter's Catholic Church, while my Mom went to Conneautville United Methodist. Throughout the years, I began participating in AWANA at Conneautville Baptist Church and attending their youth group. When I was 13 years old, my parents became convicted by the Holy Spirit to pursue attending a church together as a whole family. So, we started attending Conneautville Baptist and began a new season.

It transformed my relationship with the Lord to be able to serve a church with my family. During my time there, I had the privilege of serving on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic with my Dad, which was a life-changing experience. It deepened our faith as well as our relationship with God and each other. After graduating high school, I decided to attend Liberty University, where I pursued a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences with a specialization in Interior Design and a minor in Business. It was at the university where I met my best friend and future spouse, Guy Opper, who was raised in Arlington, Texas. We got married in May of 2011 and moved to his hometown the following year. We have two children, and I have been homeschooling them since 2019 when my son was four years old and ready to learn to read and write!

Through my homeschooling journey, I quickly realized my passion for administration and behind-the-scenes organizing. I love to make events and places successful! In 2021, I was asked to help fill the role of administrator at a co-op called DasCHE, where I helped grow and strengthen its offerings. Then, in early 2023, I was invited by a collaborative group of people to help establish a new Christian Home Educators Academic Resource, which we affectionately refer to as “CHEAR.”

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to serve as administrator for CHEAR. The Lord had opened so many doors and when I thought it wouldn’t be possible, He moved again and again! The Lord is in this!
